Would several towns combining efforts be considered a single application, or multiple out of the 20 spots?
Evan Goodkowsky
39:00
Good question Reuben
Amy Mcdonald
39:03
If we apply for Connect the Ready, but the grant committee decides we're not quite as ready as we thought, is there a chance to get into Get Ready, or should we apply for both proactively just in case?
Amy Mcdonald
39:35
never mind … just answered it :)
Brian Allenby (MCA)
41:40
If you have questions about whether Get Ready is right for your community, you can always reach out to MCA: Kendra Jo Grindle (kgrindle@maineconnectivity.org/ (207) 370-0160)
Sarah Strickland
42:34
Sorry Kendra, did you say that an application that include 10 towns is considered 1 application or 10?
Reuben Mahar
42:59
Should line extension grants be used separately? Example: I have a road with 8 homes where fiber already crosses the entrance to that road.
Evan Goodkowsky
43:16
Side question, What was cut off or determination for a community to be available for Line Extension
Amy Mcdonald
43:18

Thanks Brian!

If 10 towns are working together as a region, that's one application. The capacity for us to support planning efforts is related to both scale as well as the type of support needed. The 20 target is total number of towns regardless of regions or applications.
Martha Howell
44:43
so, we are looking to apply for ME Connectivity grant next month. we have an ISp partner. Does your grant then support the engineering.consultant and the community subscription outreach ahead of the pole licensing and build out?
Martha Howell
45:23
yes.
stephenie mac
45:55
engineering and pole processes can be part of the proposed project under Connect the Ready

Line extension. Even though its ISP owned, we've found telling there where we know they could extend their infrastructure is useful.
Reuben Mahar
53:42
We drive roads, and send google maps links where their stuff stops.
