01:10:09
and the experience!

01:14:34
we need to advocate if an employer wants forms- they should have to pay for this. our patients cannot afford the forms

01:14:52
and insurance!!!

01:14:57
yes!

01:15:19
I think big employers should have their own occupational doctors to do the forms internally.. take it off our laps completely.

01:15:29
YES!

01:17:59
too much paperwork!

01:20:22
Everyday it takes minimum 1-2 hour to finish the charting. this is tiring!

01:20:52
I tell everyone I have a day job and a night job (the paperwork).

01:21:19
So rightly said, spiritual and family is my coping mechanisms

01:23:43
Glad to hear from Dr.R.Zahcarias .Thank you for sharing your stories!

01:24:36
I have digital burnout more than 200 message in box and struggling with SHN get every report through HRM and f Fax talking to medical section never helped. This is other than charting and forms.

01:25:32
thanks for this @Balchandra- we hear your pain. and hopefully our digital lead will continue to bring this up to SHN!

01:25:52
sometimes it seems we are spending more time with paperwork and follow up than actually seeing patients

01:26:24
Thank-you Rose!!!

01:26:46
Thank you, amazing talk Rose

01:26:53
Thank you for your honesty Rose

01:27:06
Thank you, Rose, for sharing.

01:27:08
I allowed my practice to shrink to under 700 patients so I wouldn't get too burned out

01:27:12
Thanks Rose!

01:27:14
Thank you!

01:27:35
Thank-you for a great presentation!

01:27:51
Thank you Rose. I admire all that you are able to do and I'm glad you are praying and running. Prayer and Exercise are so important.

01:28:00
Absolutely. SHN has been made aware of the glut and duplication of info that is sent back to PCPs and they have put together a group to review the EPIC HRM workflow. I will continue to flag it to their attention and provide updates as I learn more.

01:28:31
Thank you. Great presentation.

01:28:37
@Chris-our OHT digital lead -thank you for this

01:28:45
Wasn't there going to be a Q & A with Dr. Zacharias?

01:29:16
We will take questions at the end. You are also welcome to send questions in chat.

01:29:53

01:30:11
thanks everyone - I am here the entire evening for questions as they come up - also at rose.zacharias@oma.org

01:30:34
Not only are there so many digital messages coming in (remember all the emails at the beginning of Covid?) but many of them are even coming in duplicate, After a while,I cannot remember if it is actually a duplicate and I have to take a couple of minutes to check in the virtual chart so I can see if I need to delete the extra docment before bothering to read all the way through it. This happens a lot.

01:31:13
Q and A for Dr Zacharias will happen after the Lawyer's presentation.

01:38:21
Question for Dr. Zacharia- Can PEM be simple Patient don’t understand what is FHO,FHT, FHG but every one has different rules how we deal with patients and they are confused. Outside use itself is very controversial it need lot of rectification.

01:43:36
I feel dumb for asking this, but how do people find the time to cook, shop for groceries, and clean or tidy their house? Do you have a schedule? I don’t. I just squeeze it in whenever I can

01:44:18
In reactions, raise hand feature

01:46:44
@irene- I just squeeze those tasks in !

01:48:14
Patients find telephone call very convenient. Now that we have to do video call, patients find it challenging specially the elderly patients. Can OMA persue for telephone call for enrolled patients to be paid as par as to in person visit?

01:48:52
If there are further questions that members have for Dr Zacharias, please direct them to info@oma.org and they will be directed to her.

02:17:41
Axe the FAX... its outdated technology..

02:17:43
doubles up on our work load-having to search around for specialists that will accept

02:17:51
centralized referrals!

02:19:15
we need to have public education for our pts

I believe dr lall was circulating a survey about approach to managing urti pts in office - did I miss this?

02:21:17
Hi Dale- I spoke about last week about this at the CoP

02:21:24
we are all winners ;)

02:21:33
of course Jenn! thanks

02:21:35
Is that recorded slash can I get it?

02:21:49
yes …my part was really short.

02:21:55
Get govt to educate pts about outside use instead of telling them they can fully access whatever care they want and then charging us personally if they go outside, leaving us to reign them in. They get mad at us [understandably] and it pits doctors against each other and costs us money.

02:22:21
wonderful to be with you all. extremely valuable insights which will continue to inform OMA advocacy work! get involved in QUEEN's Park Day Nov 21

02:22:27
Thank you
