Great point! Badges are vehicles for making ASSERTIONS.We are *asserting* that our badge earners have xyz skills/accomplishments/competencies/etc

Are there any institutions adding general education digital badges on their academic transcript? What is the benefit? If not, are you awarding the badge(s) and ownership rests with the learner to mobilize them to desired recipients?

I think the states want it to track labor and qualification stats.

GVSU does note digital badges on their transcript

Karen, you’ve it the bullseye on upcoming research questions for us. We have anecdotal evidence but need better data on what you are asking.

Karen, I think it's too early to say. We really only started doing this in the last year. We are seeing an increase in the development of badges and the number of students seeking them and then completing them. But, I think it's too early to assess much further downstream yet.

These are research questions that AACRAO and members will be exploring because they are most common questions…
