In English, we did reader's notebooks where students analyzed a story's literary elements using a structure that they choose. It allows for creativity and a sense of agency.
Alex Torres
01:20:14
I make or find really short videos to support student learning. I also chunk a lesson into different tasks, each no more than 4 subtasks. In addition to video I provide notes with images and examples.
Alex Torres

I teach Computer Science
David Barthold
01:20:41

In our class we use a combination of teaching methods (lecture, group learning, and discussion) and instructional aids (audio/visual and handouts), students can achieve the instructional objective. As Instructors we must therefore understand the concepts and principles pertinent to human behavior, how students learn, and effective communication in order to apply them in the classroom .
Joan Craig
01:21:17
I utilize a Math Journal. The students keep a marble notebook of notes, formulas, examples and index. They create the journal pages with my guidance. They reference the journal whenever they need to refer to a concept or formula.

I have allowed my adult students to take on the role as instructor and I become a student. I control the flow of the class from my student seat. The student instructor asks questions of the other students. It changes the dynamics and is received well by all. It allows them to show their knowledge. Radiography students.

I mix lessons between online and paper - the tactile nature of paper and the fact that it can be easily exchanged among students for correction and collaboration gives it continued relevance. It also helps me discover student skills and challenges - many artists out there adding artwork to their written assignments
Louis Anetrella
01:42:06
How do you reach students where English is not their primary language and they are in a class with all English speaking students. I'm concerned their understanding of some medical words and concepts may not be understood.
