Our parish pays half of our campers tuition to camp. Shawnee is poor. We take many kids who cannot afford to pay any of their fees. Raising the fee by 10% is difficult. Are we sure that other areas getting funds (like pilgrimage for example, although I love pilgrimage) are more important? Camp is the most formative thing we do for kids. I worry about pricing families out. We struggle to raise the money we raise.

For the record, I understand the rationale why it has been removed, but I am concerned to see Cursillo removed from the budget completely. Once it’s gone, it’ll be challenging to bring it back.
