Hi Meera. Great to see you. I am sure that you understand the difficulties that we faced in the 1990's. But things have since changed for the better for Admin staff going forward for the future.

when deployed on secondment, can one than come back to one's original role when secondment finishes and no other opportunities are available?

What current opportunities is there for staff in Band 5 admin/Operational roles, looking to move into band 6 positions ( non-clinical).LDZ appears to not have any planned courses/ qualifications . Most courses for bands 5’s and below are predominately aimed at clinical development and operational courses/qualifications, for bands 6 and above.Can mangers sign of lower band staff to attend courses aimed at higher bands – If the manager feels this is beneficial to the service and staff members development/ moral?Can you second to a high band?

Getting mentors would be a great help :)

There aren't many courses for band 3 admin too. A number haven't had any dates since 2020

I have done my Job evaluation recently and has been passed on to the senior management after following all the process on trustnet page but now I have been asked to wait for Admin review. I already waited for last 3 years. Not sure if its right decision ?

Sometimes gentle reminders to T.Leads of one's career aspirations can work wonder for being considered of opportunities at local end based on one's demographic flexibility and/or constraints.

Key opportunity to gaining new skills for advancement or your cv, or even that side-ways experience Meera chatted about, would be to get involved in Quality Improvement (QI) - there is training available, and then a QI project which you could initiate no matter how small. This is EXACTLY what I was talking about - it's often the case that our administrators don't see their own potential. WELL DONE that manager and well done for feeling the fear and doing it anyway. Look at you. What a success story.

How can one be allocated a coach?

What are the different bandings that will be offered??

I enquired with LDZ team for minute taking and note taking for meetings training but they said they don't have budget to run the training for now :(

Coaching: making it available to all may produce some excellent future leaders from this staff group!!! exciting ..

More opportunities for Band 5s to move into band 6 operational positions, instead of the majority of these roles only being open to staff with some clinical background.

I look forward to receiving the slides on these apprenticeships as it's excellent information.

May I ask what the Trust's expectation for supervision for admin staff is please? Is there a line manager pathway through administration staff stream or is it covered within the team (ward, cmht etc.)?

Presumably the level 3 is for band 4 jobs

Are these apprenticeships currently open to apply, as I can not see them when I search on LDZ? Please can I ask what banding you need to be at to access each one? I have already completed Level 3, and would like to move to a band 4 level, but I understand that this would not be open to me at my banding?
