I just wanted to say that we are one of the private industries in Kansas that employ some of these people. Overall it has served us very well!

01:11:33
Cindy, Maybe you already said this but how many do you have currently participating in this program?

01:13:02
Our company has hired several gentlemen through a relationship with one of the work release programs in Wichita and most have been great employees. Do they work directly with your program?

Hi Cindy: I've had the great opportunity of employing and working with this population through two of my previous employers. The majority of these persons were some of our best and most loyal as they did not want to get into trouble ever again. In answer to your question, be honest...list the studies and work performed while incarcerated and a "key" phrase that helped me and other hiring managers to understand and to empathize (and to want to help/hire someone) was "I kinda got myself into a little bit of trouble and now I'm hoping to find a job and XXXX (outline their plan". This was always a great introduction.

To get involved in the program and hire some of these candidates, do we contact you Cindy?
