Chapter 12 Transfer/Move-In - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
Sherri, will you be sharing this powerpoint?
We are recording this session and they will be posted online
Based on existing data
Where will they be posted at online? Edplan or OSDE Website?
What are "Oklahoma Standards" in comparison to other states? And IDEA?
OSDE-SES website. Once we complete the chapter sessions we will upload the recording with the PPT
I think the term Ok standards is throwing me...
Thank you, Nancy.
Ellen, she is referring to Oklahoma eligibility standards.
When assessing for initial eval? right?
Oklahoma does not add categories. Oklahoma uses the same categories under IDEA. There are some states the add categories; hence OSEP has made it clear that we must treat all out-of-state as an initial. Each state also may have different evaluation components required that make up a comprehensive evaluation, which is another reason we must treat this as an initial.
Okay thank you. That helps me better understand.
Am I understanding correctly that there will now never be a situation in which we would use an Interim IEP?
Yes. Thank you
Am I correct? We will need to evaluate every student from out of state with testing more than a year old?
If the existing data is older than one year, then yes the team would obtain consent for those evaluation components necessary to determine eligibility
Is the OSEP clarification posted somewhere online?
but what do we do to inactivate the old meegs that is still current before we do our new initial???
Jill it is cited in the new P&P
When you create the short-term MEEGS it replaces the previous MEEGS
We have students whose names appear in EdPlan, but the records themselves don't transfer until several days later. Is that typical?
If duplicates because of different local number do we just ask them to merge the to two?
thank you carolyn
