The meeting is being recorded and will be posted to the Ca-Nv Section Website.

03:28:06
Is it correct that unknown line only d/s of lead ppe/fittings are required to be replaced

03:30:01
Will presentations slides be shared with attendees afterwards?

03:36:19
can you share how do you go about accessing customer property side for the excavations

03:40:23
Can we select enough customers to achieve a 95 or 98% confidence interval, or do all unknowns need to be identified?

03:40:29
I would not recommend using ArcGIS Collector as it is being depreciated by Esri https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000026436

03:40:38
Better option would be to use Field Maps

We tested our schools in 2018... All results were in compliance... do we need to resample by 2024?

03:46:27
Can representative sampling be used for subdivisions that have similar construction history?

03:46:31
In a mobile home community that is not metered can the riser going into the coach be used as the identifier

03:46:56
If there is NO LEAD in ANY tap sampling why go to all the cost and trouble of investigating every pipe?

03:47:03
Do we need to get a ‘right of entry’ from the private property owner to inventory their side?

03:47:37
Sometimes customers are NOT interested in the utility being involved in any of their materials.

03:47:54
What about low lead pipe/fittings? Is there a percentage of lead allowed?

03:48:02
Do you know of any contractors willing to take on the task of the inventory?

03:48:16
Will the EPA revisit confirming the public water main to meter section that was completed in CA previously?

03:49:22
There is ambiguity concerning the 1986 date. The UPC wasn't revised and republished until 1988. LA County Building & Safety says to use 1990 as a conservative date for homes built to ensure lead / galvanized pipes are addressed. It would be great if SWRCB could set the date requirement.

03:49:51
Regarding determining if a galvanized pipe was ever downstream of a lead pipe, I thought that 24" was mentioned. Is that size significant?

03:50:44
Our agency has no legal authority to excavate outside the public Right of way, where the District's meter is installed. We will need customers to submit information regarding private side. how do you recommend we label non responsive customers? unknown material?

03:50:50
Are consecutive water systems without a permit required to do this? For e.g., university campuses, DoD, etc.?

03:51:04
how are we supposed to start early if epa may change the definition of a lead service line later?

03:52:06
Are mutual water companies required to do this inventory or, as their wholesale supplier, is the municipality required to do inventory?

03:52:32
are slides or recording of the presentation being made available, please review this information, I may have missed it

03:53:01
Will the presentation slides be shared with attendees?

03:53:32
Will CA-DDW allow a single point verification of private side? Example is Michigan requires at least two point verification

Are low lead fixtures prior to 2014 considered lead? What is the % Lead required to be considered lead.

03:59:21
Are consecutive water systems without a permit, such as military installations, required to do the inventory?

04:00:16
Why are NTNC water systems included in this community water system issue?

04:00:35
for areas without basements, inspecting home plumbing would mean digging or crawl space. How is this feasible on a large scale?

04:01:00
If the private side service line is lead, there is a high probability that the internal plumbing is also lead. How should we address that with the customer?

04:02:31
Are there companies providing this inventory service? Do you have contact information?

04:02:41
For a NTNC system which water main is serviced by a well, what would be considered as building inlet? offices, restrooms, manufacturing buildings?

04:03:52
DDW's FAQ indicates that non-potable lines, i.e., fire suppression systems, are to be included in the inventory. Did water systems include these lines under the initial inventory requirements in California.

04:05:21
Any indication of where the private service line would end?

04:06:57
Will the water systems be reasonable for replacing the customer lines up to the homes?

04:09:09
If only private portion needs to be replaced do we still have to offer?

04:10:11
Did EPA provide any indication when they expect to release inventory guidance?

04:11:19
Does the SRF money apply to the purchasing of tablets/computer programs etc. to perform/collect field information to establish a database?

04:11:36
If the water utility has looked at the history of the water system, and determined that there was no lead goosenecks installed after 1948, would the entire system still have to be identified, or only pre 1948?
