Kappa psi! Welcome brother!
Cory L. Holland
01:12:10
I believe in Indiana the language puts a restriction on how far the nearest pharmacy is
Ryan Marable, NPhA
01:12:19
I’ve experienced this.
Sienna Miller
01:12:34
How are other states affected by "Central Fill"?
Cory L. Holland
01:13:18
decreased access to pharmacy services administered by a pharmacist
Adrian Washington
01:13:22
Licensed in and very familiar with central fill. Chains will leverage this automation to reduce the costs of operations. Independent Pharmacies will most likely benefit from this approach..
leonardedloe
01:13:28
I see underserved areas being left out.
Cory L. Holland
01:13:44
that's exactly it Dr. Washington
Sienna Miller
01:13:45
agreed Leonard
Ryan Marable, NPhA
01:15:33
Yes. The larger chains will cut labor, and churn out prescription volume. CF does not increase patient/pharmacist interaction, as one would assume by hearing the process explained.
Adrian Washington
01:15:34
The service to vital patients will be impacted as the local pharmacies will not have the inventory and patients will have to come back often multiple times to obtain medications. Important to note, the focus will be on maintenance medications. This doesn't serve patients better, but reduces the number of staff within the pharmacy.
Cory L. Holland
01:17:05
quality over quality
Adrian Washington
01:17:06
RE: Marable-completely agree. Mail order is all states, so this doesn't lead to mail order, just another option for local pharmacies to leverage automation at a central point. Difference this is mail to the local pharmacy for patient to pick up. Doesn't enhance pharmacy interaction times with patients.
Angelle Boudreaux
01:17:11
Are there any laws in South Carolina restricting the dispensing of suboxone in place of methadone?
Adrian Washington
01:18:12
Interesting each of these initiatives are reducing the value and purpose of our profession as pharmacists... Shame on us for allowing this...
Sienna Miller
01:18:14
number of opioid RXs have declined but there is still an ongoing problem with opioid use disorder
Cory L. Holland
01:18:18
quantity over quality I meant
Sienna Miller
01:18:29
Agreed Dr. Washington
leonardedloe
01:19:08
It amazes me all of the controls placed on pharmacists, yet this would pass a control substance on in a massive way with probably little control.
Adrian Washington
01:19:24
Has anyone looked at the evidence that brown and black patients are more prone to SE and complications associated with birth control pills?
Cory L. Holland
01:19:28
indianas birth control requires insurance to pay for pharmacists prescribed BC as well
Cory L. Holland
01:20:02
this is also a disproportionate number of black and brown deaths from birth issue as well
Adrian Washington
01:20:25
RE: Leonardedloe: Agree..
Wendy Taylor
01:20:29
Access
Adrian Washington
01:21:26
RE: Holland: Yep, so to say birth control is completely safe is not a complete representation of the evidence. No medication is 100% safe. Risk vs benefit has to be accessed when decisions are made in our professional judgement..
leonardedloe
01:22:37
Doesn’t the law require the pharmacist to refer?
patrice
01:26:34
What are strategies used to promote bills such as those u presented to us tonite?

When I worked retail the patients didn’t know we don’t get lunch breaks. I really feel like the public has no idea what goes on behind the bench. I think we really need to publicize more to inform the public.
Ryan Marable, NPhA
01:31:46
I agree
Sienna Miller
01:31:49
Agreed
Adrian Washington
