Ours was Zoom
Fastest rollout ever
Ours was Zoom too. Very good timing for us!
We have done training sessions where the participants have to share their screens and show their work - for Excel, Rebuilding a Document, etc.
We've been doing cold calling everyone, too.
@Heather Morrow - does having your participants share their screen make people nervous or do you find they are open to do that?
@Marni - they are smaller sessions - 4-6 people and we encourage them to share. They don't have to, but most who sign up will share.
Reviewing "How to" Help Desk tickets weekly
Definitely looking at multiple things
We also meet with all new hires prior to Training and Orientation.
Our IT team call each new joiner (and Trainee) on their first morning to help them get set up on the equipment that has already been sent to them at the end of the previous week. Our training then doesn't start until 11 to allow time to resolve any issues.
partner training - offer 1-1
don't try and get them as a group
we offer partner 1:1 masterclasses - they don't like being in a group
How much of your new hire training is automated and are you getting pressure to automate more?
from an IT perspective, none of it is yet automated (as in video or eLearning)
There is some pressure to automate, but we push back saying this is the first opportunity that new hires get to 'meet' the firm and we need to offer the best impression
There are some elearning modules that we can use in certain situations where we have resource issues
Thanks all - great to see you
Thank you everyone, it has been great to see you all.
