How do you envision this bill will work with waiver reimagine proposals?

Good morning, we are wondering if this bill might intend to speak to the current informal life sharing model as described in the CBSM and possibly play off of that. Much of the informal model looks great. However we are wondering why there is a limit to folks to only have two roommates under the current model.

Thank you Jim and John for helping us out

01:05:13
The current waiver reimagine proposal will provide the most money will go to support individuals in group homes or congregate care. The least amount of money will go towards families caring for their young adult at home.

Thank you Jonathan for your passion and great ideas.

01:12:06
Besides the limitations of 2 people in the home, what are the primary differences between life sharing and family foster care? Both life sharing and family foster care needs are licensed, correct? And need 245D oversight?

01:14:10
Deena - quickly - the major difference is the independent contractor component - the life sharing agency holds the 245D versus the family. If you have more questions, happy to answer them - feel free to email me or LSS advocacy … Alissa.dott@lssmn.org

Thanks everyone for all the effort and communication in making Life Sharing more than a possibility but a reality.
