He's presenting on this same topic at two community council monthly meetings tonight!
Luke Hanson
28:46
What are some examples of corridors where the Bike Plan calls for bike infrastructure improvments on right-of-way which is managed by MNDoT, the Parks Dep't, Ramsey County, and agencies other than SPPW?
Elizabeth Wefel
29:13
Can we get rid of the Thune Amendment (West 7th)
Luke Hanson
29:56
Regarding your mention that our Bike Plan and Pedestrian Plan shouldn't have to compete: what's the best way to advocate for better pedestrian infrastructure?
Amanda Willis

35:53
What are the primary sources of funding for bike infra in Saint Paul?
Shawn Spence
37:05
Connectivity I think should be a future priority. We have a lot of infra that just sort of ends.
Luke Hanson
37:46
Are there some arterial streets in Saint Paul where the road width is too narrow to accommodate a separated bike path and two lanes for cars? (And do you think it's viable to turn some streets into one-ways for cars and two-way protected bike lanes?)
Sustain Saint Paul
39:04
The social/racial injustice led to a lane being permanently (I think) closed on Lafayette Road. What can we advocates do to make that intersection more safe for ALL people using ANY mode of transportation? Especially for ped/bicyclists but also for auto drivers....
Shawn Spence
44:43
This is a great point about multi-modal. Doesn't help that wayfinding apps (google maps) doesn't give that option.
Kevin.Gallatin
47:43
Great point Shawn

does PW always include active transportation to all street projects per the bike plan and ped safety enhancements?

Charles is so good!
Sustain Saint Paul
01:00:15
Traffic calming circles on Charles....does that mean removal of stop signs? I stop at every stop sign, so I've stopped biking on Charles for commuting/errand purposes.
Luke Hanson
01:02:44
I wish there were a couple more places along the Ayd Mill Path to cross the railroad tracks.

As an East Side resident, I plan on submitting comments thanking the city for the developments on the East Side (specifically Johnson Parkway and repaving of the trail in Mounds Park) and encouraging more bike lanes on the east side. "People don't bike because people don't feel safe biking." Let's change that!!
Elizabeth Wefel
01:16:44
I will verify that Melissa stops at every stopsign

The mansions on the east side of Mississippi River Blvd (south of Summit Avenue) have really deep lots, and a long distance between the gutter, the sidewalk, and the row of trees. This makes me wonder: is there a strip of these lots which is actually public ROW?
Melanie Day (she/her)
01:18:26
Good question Luke! I have been wondering that too.
Sustain Saint Paul
01:19:34
2nd/3rd your question/comment, Luke.
James Frese
01:20:20
Judging by the neighbors along Wheelock Parkway during that path construction a few years ago, I would bet that the homeowners themselves don't know where their property ends, and public right-of-way begins.
Luke Hanson

How about the newest parks that are now open and will open next year and the plans for revamping parks that do not meet current standards?
@ianrbuck (he/him)
01:42:24
I went to Como Zoo with my in-laws. We started at their place, near Victoria and Selby. They drove, I biked. They were shocked that we arrived at the same time. It’s almost like driving is not a great way to get around the city.
Melanie Day (she/her)
01:42:36
I would gladly pay to park in Saint Paul parks, just like I pay to park in Minneapolis parks.
