"Standardize discharge plans for all hospitals stays for pregnant andpostpartum patients with OUD, or a prescription for an opioid, to includedistribution or prescription for naloxone, instructions on how to use andwhere to get naloxone when needed."

We've found that Naloxone can be costly especially when someone has no insurance or it is not for the individual with the OUD. We're trying to work with our Single County Authority to have a supply on hand on L&D to be handed out without cost or insurance.

this is the MMRC recommendation

We've developed a process with our internal pharmacy to have special lock boxes in certain departments which includes Labor & Delivery and now we're working on getting it in the OB ambulatory offices.
