Welcome everyone, sorry for those stuck in the waiting room for a few minutes--new zoom account, but! We are recording this workshop, so you'll get to hear my cheery voice if you review it later ;)
Brian Lippold

Which of the recent awards were awarded as State funded?
Stephenie Mac, MCA
45:13
For those who missed the intro, new grant recipients will get direct emails with a commencement form and draft contract, in order to accept the award, later next week. New grant recipients will also get a completion report form for your projects starting this year, versus the forms on the ConnectMaine website.
Stephenie Mac, MCA
46:09
New grant recipients will be individually emailed with information about whether their projects are funded with bond or CPF

Will we get the testing and other parameters so that we can incorporate them into our contracts ?

Common errors in the budget summary is omitting total project costs. The expenses spreadsheet would be only expenses to-date.
Melinda
01:02:15
What is the required support to demonstrate payment? Copy of cancelled check?
Michael Porter
01:02:18
The application spreadsheet _required_ the latest version of office. Will that also be true of these reports?
Stephenie Mac, MCA
01:02:30
On the last spreadsheet, you will need to fill out the blue boxes.
Melinda
01:03:26
At what level of support is required for labor costs and payment for these costs?
Michael Porter
01:04:50
The app spreadsheet used the IFS function which is only in the latet version. No problem with xlsx in general.
Chris Campbell (Tilson)
01:08:28
The Spending Report does not use the IFS function.
Greg Gilligan

Two questions:
Greg Gilligan
01:12:27
If we are under budget in one category but over budget in another category, are we able to shift budget funds amongst line items, as long as we remain under the overall original grant award amount?
Stephenie Mac, MCA
01:13:12
Generally, yes, it's ok to stay within the total project budget
Greg Gilligan
01:13:24
2nd question is about town contributions and how do we get those
Stephenie Mac, MCA
01:13:50
The financial commitments are the responsibility of the applicant, grant recipient.

8 projects were awarded April 27, 2022. Of those projects:•7 projects were funded by CPF:Chebeague $800,000Leeds $2,100,000Southport $400,000Cooper $400,000Northport $2,189,670Princeton $235,309Searsport $2,087,464•1 Project was funded by the remaining bond money:Maine West (Hebron/Sumner) $6,815,914

Amplifying Stephenie, Nick's presentation focuses on Capital Project Fund requirements, which is the ARPA funding that MCA has. Projects that also have county or municipal funding that those jurisdictions obtained through ARPA may be Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, a different part of ARPA funding. Although the federal requirements of the two funds are similar, they are not identical. Awardees should take care to understand the requirements of all state and federal funding sources associated with their project.

Is a "new grant recipient" any entity that was announced on 4-27-22. Some on this call have received grants in the past.
Peggy Schaffer, Connect Maine

Mark Ouellette

How can we handle state awards that would allow us to order all equipment up front? Is that possible under the state project awards. Sorry if I missed this and it was answered.

Questions moving forward should be directed through Connect Maine?
