do not know enough english words?
I think there is a disconnect between how our speech sounds, and how English is spelled.
I would think because of all the extra words and usage that the English language has that may not translate the same in their language
I believe that is because of limited vocabulary or not having any education prior coming to the usa
the irregular grammar of English
TAYLOR IS IN THE WAITING ROOM, CAN U LET HER IN
Create a rap.
I think many of the ideas we shared last time, create, make, diagram
They can do a photo essay, where they take pictures and write captions.
Digitally & Graphically; Poems

CONCEPT. ORGANIZE, DRAFT. REVIEW, FINAL
Your idea first, then thoughts on paper, then your essay then revise and edit
My students hate outlining, but they like concept mapping.
I love a variety of graphic organizers, but I currently don't teach writing. I DO use a STOR?Y BOARD to teach video.
This kind of graphic organizer would be useful for transitioning or higher level ELLs.
I list audio. I’m going out to reconnect
One of my current ELLs can immediatley benefit from a graphic organizer such as was shared. There are researching the life of Rube Goldberg, I'm just looking for an opening sentencce, 3- 5 details and a closing sentence. They are in 8th grade. The ELL specialist meets in a study hall with this student.
My favorite holiday movie is __________because __
I am thankful ______this year,
Classmates I am thankful for are____
The best filament for the part is ________, because it __________________.
I can use ____________ to __________.
One piece of equipment I could use is ___________.
I would like to learn about _______ tomorrow.
Something I still don't understand is ______________.
We can make our own
We use rubrics that we create
I feel much better creating my own, and differentiate for different students.
I do use rubrics and I create my own
use rubistar and create our own.
When I was a second grade writing teacher in this district they did promote the school-wide rubic.
Sometimes they can be overwhelmingly by for ELLs
I'm gonna add a rubric to the Rube Goldberg project.
I would love to give students more time for reflection.
Reflective writing in class, exit slips,
exit slips and give students more time.
modeling, I do that
More peer review
exit slips and graphic organizer
more time for reflective writing and use more exit tickets for writing
Really, I may put all these tips into the assignment for this one wriiting pice for Tech 8.
