We use a 9700 for 2/70 up here, def a solid piece for what we want. Wouldn't expect anything diff on 23

22:30
I'm having some connection issues right now, I'm in and out. Let me know if you needed me to say something about the club, David.

24:03
Case Amateur Radio Club items were that we're on 23 cm for the first time ever, using an IC-9700 and Comet vertical antenna; that senior project groups sponsored by the radio club did well this semester and will continue into the next; and other stuff.

24:29
Oh brilliant! Sounds great, you've covered just about everything.

26:28
Our former club secretary KD9JPX is involved with this: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/13/science/nuclear-fusion-energy-breakthrough.html?smid=url-share

27:20
Andy, are you seeing AD8Y on 40 meter FT8?

28:24
Was the fox hunt transceiver hidden inside the building?

29:08
I heard someone mention remote antenna switch - is that something that can do rig --> RAT --> ethernet or other small cable --> RAT --> antenna? We have a rather small conduit to the roof that I probably can't fit another coax or ladder line through but could squeeze a ethernet cable in... if such a thing exists (at other than 4o3a prices!) would love to know if anyone is using them

29:11
Yes it was

30:19
@Tyler We use a 4O3A Remote switch that connects to our network through Ethernet and interfaces easily with the Flex system.

K3TU Temple U has several software projects for AREDN "MESH" on 5.6 GHz sponsored by Lockheed-Martin (with summer internships). see www.temple.edi/k3tu for the seed project.

On Ohio collegiate clubs--Tom Sly, the Ohio ARRL manager, asked for 2023 event suggestions. I brought up a "worked all school stations" certificate. Send him a note if you want to promote that idea.
