I note that a lot of these refer to "training on...". In my non-financial previous role we were always told most of the learning happens outside of training. How do we account for that?

Is there a definition of what earns CPD, or do we apply the same logic and definition of Structured CPD from the old Code?
Jon-Paul Hale
49:55
My situation for CPD has a unique component. My Good Returns column needs research and learning that is relevant. Part primary focus is about raising issues for consideration and discussion. How much of this is alignment with CPD. The proof of it is easy to see, t’s public, at the same time the background bit isn’t… How does this fit for CPD, and more relevant for the audience, those that write/produce their own blogs and articles too

Do we need to get official 'CPD' credits from training we do? e.g. if we spend 1 hour doing Xero training we won't get CPD credits or a certificate, but that may be one of our CPD goals - Thanks :)
John Reason
55:38
I am spending an hour listening to you now. How do I use the FANZ tracking tool to easily list this as a meeting as part of my PDP? Who do I need to contact?
Maree Gordon
01:00:09
Why is there still structured and unstructured comments on the FANZ CPD log?
Jess Smee
01:00:16
Thanks that was really helpful!
Nicki Kane
01:00:17
How long does FANZ keep our learning records?
John Reason
01:00:48
So you automatically update the hour you spend listening to the webinar -where do I find this on my FANZ membership site? If I read half an hour of material on the FAM website where do I manually add this on the FANZ memebership site or do I need to create a separate file on my PC?
Colin Thoms
01:00:50
Is there a blank template of this? The examples are great, but I can't change what is in there although it says writeable
Jon-Paul Hale
01:01:54
The code states that CPD needs to be what’s required for competence with Code standards 7, 8, & 9. There is no set hours requirement. So it is a case of the number of hours needed to maintain competency
Tanaz Siganporia
01:02:50
But for those that have CFP qualification, we still have 60 hours over 2 years to complete
Financial Advice New Zealand
01:03:13
Hi Colin there are only a few pages in the workbook where you can add in your CPD pg 5,6 26 and 35

@Tanaz that will be the minimum for the CFP, the code requirement could be anything from 0 to 2,000+ hours depending on what is needed
