Can only put rents up once a year, so would be a delay in rising rents

There are other investments apart from property and cash though for investors to place their funds.
Neil Inns
45:09
Tony, your view on inter-generational wealth transfer feeding the first home buyer activity too...? Mums and Dads helping kids is a standard action these days and there's more wealth than NZ is historically used to seeing moving between families?
Alan Pumfleet
48:53
Hi Tony Are we looking at super inflation on the back of all the cost increases? How can the RB contain inflation between the flags?
Bruce Jenks
49:48
Tony, Do you see or have you comments on wage price spirals happening and any particular term? i.e. short medium or long term. Thanks Bruce
Shula Newland
52:06
Do you see the new CCCFA responsible lending effecting the mortgage industry or the economy in general if less people are able to borrow for consumer goods??
Paul Fuller
52:36
With impact do you see with changes to CCCFA and tightening of affordability criteria? Has this impacted on your thoughts going forward? Adding the increasing interest rate impact on this as well.

If we talk about the "NZ Economy" we are always essentially talking about the "NZ Housing Market"If anything were to impact the "NZ Housing Market" what wouldn't any political party throw the kitchen sink to keep property prices rising?
Anita Cheung
01:01:39
Agree with Shula, CCCFA limited investor to sell their investment property, reducing the supply of residential property.
Paul Carrick
01:02:28
do you feel people should increase their savings in case the govt doesn't be so helpful in future covid issues
Daryl Taylor
01:04:41
Have you looked at regionalised house construction versus population growth and housing needs - seems that Auckland is building enough (especially with zero immigration) but whats happening to the rest of NZ
Alan Pumfleet
01:05:29
Thank you Tony.

It will lower the demand, so prices will go down and # of properties sold will decrease.
