I so believe in this method, but my son, age 23, can't travel from Boston to DC or even New York, due to his behavioral issues. Trying to do this on my own, but need some expertise!

We were fortunate to learn of Halo Camp in Austin, TX that gave my son Eli a "voice" when he was in elementary school. We also thought he did not know his alphabet and numbers but wrote poems, told stories and solved math problems during that week with stencils. Now he uses an iPad to spell albeit with one finger typing.

Can you please address physical aggression and how S2C can be taught when lessons might trigger violence?

My son has told us that using the letterboards initially disrupts his automatic motor of typing (which in his case is YouTube) and allows him to focus on spelling.

If we don't have S2C services in our community are virtual teaching sessions a possibility or is it best to go through a training so we can teach it to them ourselves?
