I appreciated the comment about bouncing back. And, deeper than that, I have realized that I need to choose to bounce back. There is no crystal ball, as we all know, and so you do your best, you learn patterns and try to avoid repeating mistakes... but in the end, unless you choose to keep taking the risk of engaging, then you will not be able to bounce back. That's how it was for me, anyway. Now we're in a different phase... she is ironically overconfident and thus reinventing every wheel known to mankind. And I'm okay with that.
