Would love to see an asset map of all the current place-based efforts with the priority zip codes to determine how we can leverage work already underway. Then a conversation with those orgs to both inform the new PHD unit and determine how to provide additional funding during this transition period. To Dr. Rhoads' point, we have built capacity in many neighborhoods that were called into action during COVID and can be enhanced with more support as we move to a stronger and sustained community support network.
Gabriela Galicia
01:01:47
We cannot continue to hire community leaders on short term like Pastor Arlene mentioned.
Kim Rhoads

Hi Wendy, the plan is to have a long term COVID response unit.

Yes! I appreciate your words as well.
Gabriela Galicia

Part of the infrastructure must also include the conversation of funding and input on how dollars are earmarked for programming.
Mary LouBreslin
01:26:59
I appreciate the infrastructure discussion and the opportunity to pause and prepare for the inevitable next surge. My hope is that we can include people with disabilities among those who are counted and recognized going forward. We make up about 10% of the county population and half of us are members of racial and ethnic groups. Acknowledging our presence and our specific issues would be a valuable action going forward. Thanks!
Mary LouBreslin
01:27:16
