Thanks for a wonderful session and thanks to all the presenters. I am curious about youth voice as it pertains to academic programming and curricular decisions. In my work I see youth voice is often considered when thinking about out of school time or after-school related services and partnerships. How can students be included and represented in the in-school academic-related decision making (the approved curriculum)? It seems like the students as researchers project discussed by the UCLA team had a real impact on the approved curriculum – the AP course became part of the established curriculum. Do you have tips for how others can promote this level of youth engagement?
