I also contacted Governor Newsom's office to ask hom to sign SB 107 into law today, making California a sanctuary state for transgender youth. This action could be lifesaving.

Governor Newsom just signed AB 1416 the Ballot DISCLOSE Act!!! This is such a huge victory for a bill that will have a monumental positive impact leveling the playing field for good ballot measures (and eliminating a lot of the advantages of bad ones by Big Money).

Thank you, Betty Yee! You were the first political candidate I donated a scary amount of money (for me) eight-some years ago. Worth every penny!
Hene Kelly
01:13:06
Sorry!
Mary Rose Ortega
01:14:58
Great question.
Larry Marotta
01:15:46
So he’s done nothing to help and everything to hurt public education.
Mary Rose Ortega
01:16:03
Not too bad if he got into Harvard and Stanford.
Ruth Carter
01:16:19
AND his facts are incorrect. Alternative facts again?
Randy Hicks
01:16:32
And he really has not fought against school vouchers
Kaci Christian
01:16:42
Republican mansplaining
Paula Hall

01:18:51
So, teachers will be screwed again.
Margaret Shelleda
01:19:08
Yikes!
Fay Wong
01:19:13
What state programs do you propose to cut, and how do you propose to reduce pension obligations without violating the law.
Paula Hall
01:19:29
He would utterly destroy public schools based in his stand for vouchers etc.
Tish Leon
01:19:32
At least he showed up to talk to us..
Nadine Peyrucain
01:19:36
I think his plan is wage theft
Larry Marotta
01:19:51
Don’t let him ramble on. He’s being disrespectful of the forum time limits.

Kristen Loomis
01:20:06
Yes, let's go after fraud and waste in the health care system
Fay Wong
01:20:15
This guy is just awful. How much faith are we supposed to have in the stock market to sustain us in retirement? Fraud and abuse in health care? Examples please?
Randy Hicks
01:20:31
Sounds like.the Majority opinion on the latest vouchers case
Kristen Loomis
01:20:36
Do you guide yourself by von Hayek?
Elvira Moreno
01:20:44
a reform must be taken to at get OUR CHILDREN and to read n mathematics
Bonnie L Petty
01:20:58
Yeah, sure - turn over our retirement funds to the private sector and the stock market! What an idiot!
Connie Chew
01:21:37
What is your stance on corporate finance of campaigns? Do you accept corporation money for your campaign, and what would you do if there are issues where corporations are against community interests?
*Keith Umemoto
01:21:42
Mr. Guerrero: you identify a $1 trillion underfunding of CA pension fund. How do you derive this figure, what average rate of return are you using for this calculation?
Elvira Moreno
01:21:55
Nadine name calling really gets your point across
Elvira Moreno
01:22:06
who the idiot
Josephine Carson
01:22:08
For years since prop 13 California has been near the bottom of of all states. California teachers do NOT have tenure. Tenure is what is afforded to colleges and universities. What we have in California is Due Process, which means that adminissters must document teacher performance, good and bad. If a school keeps an under performing teacher, it means admin has not sought avenuues for improvement or has not properly documented poor performance.
Nadine Peyrucain
01:22:09
First: Mr. Guerrero you are not a victim, 2nd How do you explain that CA is the 5th largest economy of the world if we are so mismanaged?
Kaci Christian
01:22:15
Gas prices is a Republican dog whistle. And asking for an independent watchdog is Republican’s approach to trying to defeat our elected representatives.
RonaldMartin,Fresno
01:22:16
Mr. Guerrero, as you evaluate California's bond obligations, where do yo prioritize mitigations of the effects of climate change and the transition away from fossil fuels? That is, will you prioritize debt reduction over addressing climate change?
J. R.
01:22:29
Defined Contribution pension schemes replaced the traditional pro-worker Defined Benefit plans of the past. AFSCME studied this decades ago. Defined Contribution plans are theft of workers money.
*Keith Umemoto
01:23:21
I thought Fiona Ma started as a CPA before working for Burton. A great qualification for Treasurer.
Elvira Moreno
01:24:52
comment is made by Kool aid drinker. CA credit rating is at the bottom.
Kaci Christian
01:25:33
Fiona Ma is highly qualified and has the experience we need.
Josephine Carson
01:25:50
Sorry, I meant to say California Schools are near the bottom in PER STUDENT SCHOOL FUNDING. Most teachers reach into their own pockets to provide needed resources for their classroom.
Betsy Morris
01:34:03
What path do you see for creating a state public or enabling regional public banks here in the East Bay.

Elvira Moreno
01:37:22
what a joke to believe what she spell about the State she has not done her we are in a mess.
Mary Helen Barro
01:37:48
Treasurer Ma, What are the chances of requiring all companies and corporations that provide a public utility (gas, electricity and water) to restructure as a non-profit. SMUD in Sacramento County is structured similarly, and utility rates there are much lower than most of the state. Can you please give us feedback? Thanks much for all you do. Randy Hicks
01:40:32
Maybe a complete audit
Paula Hall

fiona ma the corruption your office is involved with. the Santa Ana n your involvement
Betsy Morris
01:41:30
My understanding is that north or South Dakota’s public banks hold governmental funds and lend money to state and local governments and public agencies— but not like Frances’ postal banks which a retail service to working people.

Yay to carbon tax!

Thank you, Lanhee Chen.
Betsy Morris
01:49:42
I really wanted to ask about oversight of low income housing tax credits and state bonds to private equity firms buying up senior affordable housing buildings - the evidence nationally is lihtc are resulting in fewer and fewer units.
Randy Hicks

He has got my vote
Randy Hicks

Good Question
Kaci Christian
01:53:54
So glad to hear about adding women to the historical records of the state
Paula Hall
01:53:56
He talked about something the state has been working on already and using it as an attack. I believe the EDD workers were doing a tremendous job during a historical time of a worldwide pandemic. Consider how easy it is to attack those who are workers like we were at some point in our lives
karen lang
01:55:11
is shirley weber running to keep her seat?
Randy Hicks
01:57:30
I hope she sure will enact our clean money bills when we get them signed we need accountability and transparency in our elections
Mary Rose Ortega
01:59:39
Yes. She's running for reelection for the seat she was appointed to by the Governor when Alex Padilla was appointed to Congress.
Diana Madoshi
01:59:53
Secretary Weber. I give her especially black women respect of their titles. It may seem small but respect earned is respect to be given!
Betsy Morris
02:01:32
Does her office handle the campaign finance tracking and online public portal can we expand tracking of dark money and PACs. We need more transparency and easy access tied to voter information materials.

Tony Thurmond
02:27:07
@Myrtle Braxton. Hello my friend and mentor. Regarding the teacher shortage--- We are running a statewide recruitment campaign to help school districts recruit teachers. We are offering $20,000 scholarships to teacher candidates. I authored legislation to help us diversify our teacher ranks as well. We are also organizing grow your own teacher pipeline programs.

02:30:10
I'll never be voting to allow Nathan Hochman to hold public office. Liar from start to finish.
Kristen Loomis
02:30:41

They are disingenuous those ads by corporation its all about saving money
Randy Hicks
03:15:34
then have patients speak against there own interest
Carol Taylor
03:17:32
Absolutely wrong, Randy. Read the text of the measure. It talks about reporting infection rates just as hospitals do. Having doctors on call - is that against the patients’s interests?
GORDON MILLER
03:17:39
I understand the last dialysis opposition ads used actors and some may be re=appearing now on the Anti-29 ads.
Carol Taylor
03:18:28
You’re buying into a false ad hominem argument - READ the propositoon and then decide.
Tina Martin
03:19:09
This is a good ad, but they should say which Prop it is!
Carol Taylor
03:19:42
Yes, Gordon about the dialysis position. I believe the opposition spent the largest amount of money in any campaign in CA history.
Carol Taylor
03:20:10
In the last campaign
Tina Martin
03:20:14
I know it's Prop 31, but the ad should say so.
Carol Taylor
03:24:00
31 is flavored tobacco products. The dialysis video should have has Prop 29 prominently featured. The number may not have been issued then. There’s a gap between when one is qualified to be on the ballot by signatures and the issuance of the Prop number.
Larry Marotta

Thank you for your explanation on the dialysis bill. Very good info
Regina Sneed
03:26:01
On prop 30. Why are we not pointing out that if we raise taxes on the rich the revenue should go for eliminating poverty instead of cherry picking a few legitimate services like wildfires along with electronic vehicle support which benefits wealthy folks mostly. A missed opportunity I think.
Carol Taylor
03:27:09
I wonder if the 31 video folks had the same problem. You know you are on the ballot, the opposition is gearing up against you and you need to let people know about the prop instead of letting opponents operate unopposed. So you publicize without a number.
Regina Sneed
03:28:05
Is there an analysis of the past dialysis measures and this one. What’s the difference. Why isn’t this addressed federally.
