What you are used to is the Revised Common Lectionary (OT, NT, Gospel reading) and is a 3 year cycle. Year A most of the gospel readings come from Matthew, Year B Mark, Year C Luke. Then John gets sprinkled in there. The Narrative Lectionary is a 4 year cycle with bigger chunks of a story. Sept-Dec is OT. Christmas - Easter is a gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John — one each year), Post Easter-Pentecost is the Epistles.

The Lectionary is the layout of scripture that we use to preach and guide worship. There are a few different formats. The Narrative gives bigger “narrative” stories.

For Wednesday Bible Study I’m not using the Narrative Lectionary - this week is Isaiah 6:1-8, 1 For. 15:1-11, Luke 5:1-11
