Kris Amaral
30:48
Where do we put Erate funding?
Kris Amaral
32:06
Thank you!
Kris Amaral
33:40
Erate is federal, but California Teleconnect Fund (CTF) is state.
Allison Gray
33:44
what about staff who happen to be librarians but are not paid as such?
Jessica Framson
34:24
Part-time and full-time librarians?
Kathryn Hunt
36:06
Do we report for every position we have in our jurisdiction's salary schedule, even if we don't have any staff currently working with that title?
Hillary Theyer: Monterey County Free Libraries
38:35
Are you paying for K-12 Brainfuse? I thought just JobNow/VetNow?
Hillary Theyer: Monterey County Free Libraries
39:12
HelpNow! We have it, but pay for it
Susan Goetz
39:47
If we only did curbside pick up hours and library was not open to the public, how do calculate hours open?
Christopher Platt
39:50
LapTop lending external or internal or both?
Kris Amaral
39:52
What do we do about service hours that have changed throughout the year? We also did curbside, do we count that as open hours?
Jessica Framson
40:10
re: fines, are you asking what we do typically or what we did during 20-21?
Cathy Billings
40:41
What if we eliminated fines in the middle of the fiscal year?
Hillary Theyer: Monterey County Free Libraries
41:40
Three cheers for Meg!
RAFAEL INIGUEZ ZAZUETA
41:44
for live virtual programming, do we capture the peak attendance as the final number?
Jasmin LoBasso
41:59
I believe you have your whole screen shared, rather than a specific program
Bridget Hayes
42:01
maybe windows + tab key
Jasmin LoBasso
42:08
You got it, we see powerpoint!
Deborah NIblick
43:46
My library offered Facebook contests where we asked a series of questions and the first person who posted the correct response in the comments won. For attendance purposes, do we count just the responses or do we count the amount of people who engaged with the post even though they didn't answer? Let me know if this doesn't make sense!!
Deborah NIblick
48:33
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Jon Solomon
49:43
try clicking the button towards the top that reads From Current Slide
Maria Marquez
50:15
Try to stop sharing the screen and then share it again.
Susan Goetz
55:27
How do we count a program that was first offered live, then available for viewing after? Is it two programs (one live virtual and one pre-recorded virtual?
Kathryn Hunt
56:35
If we did a Beanstack-based reading challenge, is that a self-directed activity?
Lindsey Freeland
01:00:00
I think ALT-S on your keyboard should close your share
Angelica Fortin
01:00:27
Can yo confirm, this year, we can count grab-and-go kits as self-directed activities?
Lisa Brock
01:00:50
We create a craft video and offer craft to go kits to go with the video. We have been just counting the video as one program and the number of views as the participation. Can we count the kits under self-directed activities?
Laurel Moran
01:01:39
how do you divide out outlet populations?
Laurel Moran
01:02:03
We have used board of supervisor districts and census to give that number.
Jaylene Demapan
01:02:06
Thank you Meg. You have always been accessible and quick to respond. I appreciate everything you do!
DebbieJo McCool
01:02:46

tech problems are so frustrating! thanks for hanging in there Meg!
Nicole Pasini
01:23:35
Is there a good way to export in excel the current year & prior year answers? I'd like to be able to set up a % change comparison.
Sarah Dunn
01:24:14
Agree with this question - it is really clunky to do it now
Sarah Dunn
01:24:45
Data does not drop nicely into excel, carries a lot of formatting with it.
Nicole Pasini
01:27:30
thank you!
JONATHAN WATSON
01:28:08
Thank you for this presentation! I unfortunately have to leave.
Sarah Dunn
01:28:15
yes
Beate Bjoerklund
01:30:50
Related to the usage data of state provided databases, is there a guide for each of those so that we all deliver the same data so that it is comparable? I understand that a list for all databases would be untenable.
Nicole Pasini
01:30:50
For a city library without formal boundaries between branches, would you recommend just splitting up census tracts? Does the total of branch service areas need to equal the library system's service area?
Laurel Moran
01:32:26
We split up board of supervisor areas.
Laurel Moran
01:32:34
For county.
Nicole Pasini
01:33:21
thank you!
Kelly Clark
01:33:43
Census Tract is great for processing other statistics outside of this survey without difficulty.
Sarah Dunn
01:40:23
Sometimes unexpected things pop up with Verify that did not earlier show as anomalies - so don't wait til the last minute! You might have to pass the whole thing through a couple of times until it is all clean.
Avery Campbell
01:42:10
Not sure if this was addressed, but for the Director and Deputy fields, do you want the current information or the info for FY20/21? Would imagine it is the current info, but want to check.
Avery Campbell
01:42:48
That's what I thought. Thanks!
