In 2024, Wisconsin Watch investigative reporter Phoebe Petrovic became the first Wisconsin-based local reporting network fellow for ProPublica. In her first year, Petrovic produced multiple in-depth articles on the complex topic of extremism and the increasing influence of the religious right on American political discourse. How did Petrovic get started reporting on this topic? She will answer that question and many others in conversation with Wisconsin Watch state bureau chief Matthew DeFour, in a live Zoom event on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 4 p.m. Central time.
