Get Creative Commons Certified!
Description
Creative Commons (CC) (https://creativecommons.org/) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to helping build and sustain a thriving commons of shared knowledge and culture. Together with an extensive member network and multiple partners, CC builds capacity, develops practical solutions, and advocates for better open sharing of knowledge and culture that serves the public interest.
MHEC recently renewed its contract with CC, which offers a 15% discount for existing and custom Creative Commons licensing professional learning opportunities to staff and institutional members of the Midwestern Higher Education and its sister compacts through June 2023.
In this webinar, Creative Commons will provide an overview of its CC Certificate program (https://certificates.creativecommons.org/), which offers in-depth courses about CC licenses, copyright and open practices for their global, shared digital commons.
Join MHEC as CC “pops the hood” of the Certificate program. They’ll share course content, insights from their participant surveys, what’s coming next, and answer any questions. Alumni, Rob Gibson and Jennifer Englund, will also share their experiences completing the CC Certificate, as well as what they've done with the knowledge since graduating.
This webinar will be one hour with time allotted for questions. Resources, as they are available, will be posted to our Past Events page of the MHEC website: https://www.mhec.org/convening/past-events.
