Nnedi Okorafor
Nnedi Okorafor is an international award-winning novelist of science fiction and fantasy for children and adults. Born in the United States to Nigerian immigrant parents, Nnedi is known for weaving African culture into evocative settings and memorable characters. Nnedi has received the World Fantasy, Hugo, Nebula, and Lodestar Awards, amongst others, for her books. Her fans include Neil Gaiman, Rick Riordan, John Green, and Ursula K. Le Guin. Wanuri Kahiu
Wanuri Kahiu is part a new generation of African storytellers, receiving international acclaim. To date, she has written and directed six films. Rafiki is her second feature film. She is also the co-founder of AFROBUBBLEGUM, a media company supporting, creating and commissioning fun, fierce and frivolous African art. Wanuri was named a TED Fellow in 2017 and World Economic Forum’s Cultural Leader in 2018.
