Session on Climate Change in Latin America & Caribbean – Vulnerabilities, Resilience and Local Impact Climate change represents one of the greatest threats to Latin America and the Caribbean. Processes such as rising sea levels, ocean acidification, extreme weather events, loss of glaciers, and increased droughts endanger human populations, biodiversity, and ecosystems in the region. On the first day of the Virtual Summit we will bring together researchers, government representatives and multilateral agencies to discuss the challenges, practices and experiences in studying, mitigating and coping with climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean. Presentations will be in English with subtitles.
