Sarah advises clients in the Technology, Media and Communications, Life Sciences & Healthcare, and Fashion and Retail sectors. She handles a broad range of IP work from devising trade mark filing strategies, conducting clearances searches and managing international portfolios, through to advising on all types of contentious matters before UKIPO, EUIPO and UK Courts. In addition, Sarah has experience of non-contentious matters including drafting and negotiating all types of licensing and franchising arrangements and co-existence agreements. Having spent her formative years at a very large city firm, she is equally adept advising on the IP aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals. Sarah also routinely advises agencies and brands on advertising issues including pre-clearance advice and assists clients with ASA complaints. Amanda Parness (Founder and CEO @Spring Advisory Services) For over 20 years she worked as a Managing Principal at GoldPoint Partners, New York Life Insurance Company’s private equity investment arm, investing over a billion dollars through and alongside some of the best mid-market private equity funds in the US including tech-enabled healthcare insurance and service companies. She has experience investing in funds, term loans, subordinated debt, preferred stock and common equity most often in leverage buyouts and growth equity situations. She has held active board observer positions in these companies. As a former private equity investor, she brings a buyer’s lens to management consulting and sell side assignments. Amanda is a very creative problem solver, looking for practical solutions that suit the situation at hand. She is currently on the boards of TLA Innovation, a privately help technology company, a SPAC sponsored by Fifth Wall Capital (“FWAC”) and a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Vintage Investment Partners, VC focused.
