Brian Lane
Ecologist @Sensing Nature
As a Senior Ecologist, environmental educator, and business co-owner, Brian Lane shares his appreciation and understanding of the natural world through Sensing Nature’s interactive workshops, ethical eco-tours and educational nature products. A Florida native with a strong love of our dynamic coastline, Brian grew up in Pinellas County and earned his B.S. from the University of Central Florida. He now enjoys traveling Florida educating teachers to tots about nature and the importance of our individual actions. He has co-authored six laminated wildlife identification guides including “Tracks, Scats and Signs of Florida Wildlife.” As an award-winning University of Florida / Florida Master Naturalist Instructor, Brian teaches all of the UF FMNP courses in Pinellas County and is an active board member for the Friends of Pinellas Master Naturalists 501(c)3.
