Design and Analysis of 5-level Inverter for grid-connected application
This webinar aims to develop, a 5-level Cascaded H-bridge (CHB) inverter topology in PSIM. A suitable sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) will be adopted for the level generation of the above-mentioned inverter. On the application side, these topologies will be made to run on standalone and grid-connected modes. A suitable mathematical approach for the selection of filter and controller design will be covered in this webinar. Also, the digital implementation of the developed converter will be covered using the TMS320F28379D target. This will ensure the application of PSIM code generation for real-time hardware implementation using TI’s Code Composer Studio as an interface. Lastly, to compute the power loss, a thermal module will be used to analyze the efficiency of the power converter. To summarize, this webinar will give the user a basic idea about the design of 5-level CHB inverter, with a suitable modulation scheme, controller design, and real-time implementation using the TI target.
