The Charity Commission for England and Wales and Community Security Trust (CST) welcome you to a Security Awareness webinar for faith charities, in particular Places of Worship.
The Charity Commission will introduce trustee duties in a faith charity context; giving an overview of trustees' legal duties and the need for them to take reasonable steps to protect people who come into contact with their charity from harm.
SAFE by CST will discuss organising security and basic security requirements; looking at creating a security team and risk management, CCTV, learning what is '"suspicious", emergency procedures and leaving you with an Action Plan - this is a detailed introduction to security for places of worship and vulnerable communities.
SAFE shares CST’s security knowledge with groups outside the Jewish community that are vulnerable to violent extremism or hate crime.
This will include people who regularly attend a place of worship, and in particular community leaders, managers of places of worship and people who wish to become involved in making their community as safe as possible.
