Global Cash Trends & The Question of Cashless Societies
As the prevalence of e-commerce and electronic payment methods, particularly contactless, increase, it is often asked if certain economies could cope without cash.

Over the past two years, the coronavirus pandemic has changed cash demand in many countries – both positively with people trusting cash in times of uncertainty, and negatively as in-person payment opportunities reduced with lockdowns.

In this webinar, we will explore global cash trends before and after the pandemic, with a focus on the US, Canada, UK and Australia. We will investigate how the pandemic affected cash demand in each economy, how resilient cash was and if the pandemic has increased or decreased the possibility of pushing societies towards becoming cashless.
