This webinar covers the theory, circuit topology and various design considerations of an LLC Half-Bridge Resonant Power Converter including simulation in PSIM.

The half-bridge power stages are commonly used for isolated, medium-power applications such as on-board charging applications for EV with high-voltage input are often designed with resonant switching to achieve higher efficiency.

The concept of unique analysis tool known as first harmonic approximation (FHA) for controlling frequency modulation is also introduced. A design example with PSIM simulation will be elaborated.
