With wildfire smoke in the air across much of the country, now is a chance educate students about the science of air quality through the lens of smoke pollution. What is smoke? How dangerous is smoke pollution? How can we measure and analyze it in our communities?
We will discuss ways to engage your students on this topic and to help them better understand air quality, how smoke pollution can affect their health, and how to protect themselves. We'll also explore freely available resources available to teachers and students to determine what the air quality is outdoors!
