John Ferris, P.E.
Manager of Equipment Development @BNSF Logistics
Equipment Development Manager John Ferris curates transportation solutions for wind turbine components, develops calculations, and oversees on-site testing. He has been a licensed professional engineer for nearly 10 years, and in the logistics industry for four years. Before joining BNSF Logistics in 2017, he led new product development, project planning, design optimization, and a design team for a global construction company. John is a proud alum of the University of Texas at Arlington. He enjoys watching things come to life from an idea or drawing, and solving complex challenges. He also enjoys working on cars, being an all-around handyman, and spending time with family.
Tadeo Gonzalez
Operations Manager @BNSF Logistics
Operations Manager Tadeo Gonzalez brings 15 years of supply chain expertise to his role. Responsible for developing customized logistics services for clean energy, power generation, and industrial manufacturers in Mexico, Tadeo loves providing innovative solutions for new logistics challenges. His expertise in project management, damage prevention, and freight claims enabled him to successfully facilitate an international plant relocation project from the U.S. to Mexico and countless over-dimensional freight shipments throughout North America. Tadeo is a proud alum of Universidad Regiomontana, A.C. and is an active member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. He enjoys spending time BBQing with his family, playing guitar, and fantasy football in his free time.
Vickie Vaughn
Marketing and Demand Generation @BNSF Logistics
Vickie Vaughn supports Marketing and Demand Generation at BNSF Logistics and has the distinction of being the company’s first female FAA commercial licensed UAS (drone) pilot to fly missions for the Project Rail team. Vickie successfully led collaborative projects developing a welding apprenticeship program, manages strategic events and partnership projects, and is developing the company’s first podcast and speaker bureau initiatives. She is a member of the Council for Supply Chain Management and the League of Railway Women (LRW). Vickie was recently elected to LRW’s volunteer Board of Directors serving as Deputy Education Chair. Prior to BNSF Logistics, Vickie led a proposal team to $400m in awarded projects for a construction company. She also worked as a project manager, interim marketing director, and briefly as an inner-city teacher. She has a B.S. in Psychology from West Liberty University. A breast cancer survivor, Vickie is as a mentor to cancer warriors with Immerman Angels.
