Franck Leveiller

Franck Leveiller is Chief Scientific Officer, Senior Vice President, Head Global R&D, for Alcon, with responsibility for driving all facets of Alcon Surgical, Vision Care, and Pharma R&D. Franck joined Alcon Laboratories, Inc., in June 2011 as VP and Head of R&D Vision Care, and in June 2015 assumed the role of Head, R&D Surgical Franchise at Alcon. Before joining Alcon, Franck was the Global Head of R&D at CIBA VISION, after two years with Novartis Pharmaceuticals as Global Head Technical R&D, Project Management. With more than 17 years of R&D experience in the pharmaceutical industry, working across different geographies and cultures, Franck has a strong track record in applying strategic thinking to complex projects and leading large teams of scientists and engineers. Prior to Novartis, he held R&D positions with pharmaceutical companies, such as AstraZeneca, Aventis and Rhone-Poulenc Rorer.
Robert Kissling
Vice President, Medical & Scientific Affairs @Bausch & Lomb
Rob Kissling, M.D., has more than two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry where he has held various leadership positions of increasing responsibility. Mr. Kissling is the vice president, Medical Affairs at Bausch + Lomb. In this role, he is responsible for refining and driving the medical affairs' strategy and scientific communication for the company’s pharmaceutical and surgical businesses. Prior to joining Bausch + Lomb in 2010, he held a number of marketing and commercial positions at companies that included Galderma Laboratories, Novartis and Pfizer.
John Hoekman, PhD

John served as our Chief Scientific Officer since July 2008 and is now Chief Technology and Development Officer. John has spent the last 14 years investigating intranasal drug delivery of therapeutics targeting the central nervous system. John co-founded Impel while attending graduate school at the University of Washington. He is the lead inventor of the Precision Olfactory Delivery (POD®) technology and has made fundamental contributions to understanding intranasal drug delivery. John has spent the last 10 years working across all functions to grow Impel from a pre-clinical device focused company to a late-clinical stage pharmaceutical company. He holds a BS in Physics from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Washington.

Cynthia Silva, MD
Medical Officer, Clinical Affairs @Outset Medical, Inc.
Cynthia Silva joined Outset Medical in February 2022, after 12 years in academic practice as Division Head of Pediatric Nephrology and Director of Dialysis and Apheresis Services at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology and received her training at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. She developed and stabled the first pediatric dialysis center in the state with outreach across 3 states. She remains active in ASN, ASPN and IPNA with her focus on expanding access to new technologies for patients in special populations. Cynthia received her undergraduate degree from University of Maryland College Park and her medical degree from SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn New York.
Adam Dunki-Jacobs
CTO & COO @Standard Bariatrics, Inc.
Mr. Dunki-Jacobs has 15 years of medical device experience in several phases of product development including: academic research, front-end market creation, design, manufacturing, and post market surveillance. At Ethicon Endo-Surgery (a J&J company), he managed a research collaborative with two academic institutions focused on deconstructing metabolic changes that occur following bariatric surgery and investigated novel weight loss therapies/devices. As a design engineer at Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Mr. Dunki-Jacobs helped develop four stapling products, led the open mechanical (stapling) IP portfolio strategy, attended the University of Cincinnati as a PhD candidate investigating a novel framework for optimizing stapleline performance in tissue specific applications, and advised R&D stapling project teams as a design reviewer and subject matter expert in staple formation technology. Since joining Standard Bariatrics in 2016, he led the development of the Standard Clamp® and Titan SGS®.
