Investment Outlook: Investment Opportunities in a Low Yield Environment
Malaysia’s policy interest rate, i.e. the Overnight Policy Rate (OPR), is now at its record low and at its lowest since OPR was first introduced. A low OPR would also mean inevitably lower fixed deposit rates from financial institutions in terms of deposit placements. This low rate regime may stick along a little longer given the current economic challenges as Malaysia navigates the new-norm being intensified by the developments of the current pandemic.

Therefore, it is important for one to look at investment opportunities to beat inflation rate in this low yield environment. In this webinar, our objective is to share with you what is Malaysia’s macroeconomic outlook and what are the proposed options that companies should explore in improving returns besides fixed deposits. The webinar will also cover what are the risks and the merits involved in these proposed options for consideration in order to make the optimal risk-reward decision.
