Canary Chats #1: Responsibly Sourced Natural Gas: Data-Driven RSG and Differentiated ESG Molecules
Description
How do oil and gas operators leverage data to differentiate their natural gas in the marketplace?
“Responsibly Sourced Gas” (or RSG) is a relatively new category of differentiated natural gas in the marketplace with a strong following. In the past two years, nearly 20% of U.S. natural gas production has been certified with additional U.S. energy producers continuing to join the marketplace. Global buyers are also entering the conversation now, looking for RSG to validate their GHG emissions and meet their ESG goals.
The measurement economy has arrived and all signals point to the energy transition demanding better data, more often. It’s time for high-fidelity bottom-up emissions profiles directly from the wellhead.
While third-party assessments are required to evaluate energy producers and provide certification, the right data plays a critical role in sustained differentiation. Learn how operators leverage on-site continuous monitoring to certify their gas and understand what advantages that provides in the natural gas marketplace.
