Topic
Skills-first Hiring with COMPETE
Description
We can solve the chronic skilled talent shortage in Massachusetts that threatens the ability of our companies to compete and hinders the growth potential of the Commonwealth and its citizens. It’s a matter of mindset and approach. Nonprofit STEMatch’s COMPETE workforce development program addresses both.
The COMPETE program works with businesses willing to adopt a skills-first focus in the way they recruit and hire talent to fill entry-level and middle-skill tech jobs, and partners with an engaged community and minority-serving colleges to ensure their educational programs deliver students who are job-ready and prepared to succeed.
Join the High Tech Council on Tuesday, January 24 at 12 p.m. for a virtual roundtable discussion with STEMatch Founder and MHTC Director, Chris Zannetos, and current COMPETE partners to learn more about the benefits of participating in COMPETE and how your organization can get involved.
