The project Action for Health and Equity: Addressing medical Deserts – or AHEAD – aims to reduce health inequalities by addressing the challenge of medical deserts and medical desertification in Europe. Medical deserts are areas with limited health services, resulting in unmet health needs of the population. They can exacerbate health inequalities, mostly affecting vulnerable groups.
During our webinar on November 21st, we will dive into our Medical Deserts Diagnostic Tool - a tool which policymakers, researchers and other interested parties can use to identify, tackle and prevent medical deserts. Our tool can be used to come up with evidence-based policy solutions, to contribute to health policy reforms and systemic change, to ensure access to health for all, and that truly no one is left behind.
It will be an interactive webinar with ample time for Q&A.
Moderator: Stefan Mandic-Rajcevic.
Representatives from the AHEAD country teams will talk about their experience with applying the Medical Deserts Diagnostic Tool in Italy, Moldova, the Netherlands, Romania and Serbia.
