Navigating Copyright in Medical Communications
The reuse of previously published content is common practice in medical communications projects but navigating complex copyright requirements governing this practice is not easy. Join CCC (Copyright Clearance Center) for a webinar focused on basic principles of copyright to learn how to avoid unintentional copyright infringement that can put your organization and your clients at risk. Attendees will leave the program able to:

* Understand the basics of copyright law and international copyright treaties
* Describe what is and what is not copyright protected (e.g., conference posters and abstracts)
* Explain fair use and fair dealing
* Identify when copyright permission is needed
* Explain what is in the public domain and how to reuse Open Access materials
* Use online tools to obtain rights and manage permissions projects

Please join Chloe Duchesne (Educational Services Coordinator, CCC) and Robert Gaggin (Senior Product Marketing Manager, Information and Content Solutions, CCC) for this webinar focused on copyright as it pertains to the work of medical communications professionals.

And we answer questions from the audience.

It should be of interest to anyone who is working in and around MedComms, or who is wanting to join the business.

The webinar is free of charge and, all being well, a recording will be posted afterwards at NetworkPharma.tv.

Note we are allowing 60 minutes for the webinar and we always aim to finish promptly on time.

MedComms Networking Webinars will be run every Wednesday at 12.00 midday UK time from 05 October through to 07 December 2022. Topics will range widely, but the aim is always to be relevant to people working in and around MedComms, by which we mean medical communications, medical education and medical publishing, and anyone who wants to start.
