City of Seattle Building Performance Standards Policy Open House
This is the City's second online open house to learn about and share input on the draft framework for a City of Seattle Building Performance Standards policy.

Building performance standards are a powerful tool to reduce climate pollution and transition toward cleaner, healthier buildings. The City is developing an approach that would gradually phase out carbon pollution from existing commercial and multifamily buildings 20,000 square feet (ft2) and larger through mandatory emissions targets, beginning 2026 for the largest commercial buildings, that become more stringent over time, to net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2045.

Seattle Building Performance Standards are the single most impactful building policy the City can implement in the next few years and is projected to reduce building sector emissions 27% by 2050.

Join the event to learn about the policy timeline and share input on the draft policy framework. Email cleanbuildings@seattle.gov with any questions.

Closed-captioning will be provided.
