Hybridization capture is a method of targeted next generation sequencing. DNA or RNA samples are converted into sequencing libraries and then regions of interest within the library are captured using biotinylated oligonucleotide probes (also referred to as baits). Hybridization capture’s capacity for mutation discovery makes it particularly suited to cancer research.
