Nearly 94,000 Americans were held as prisoners of war by the Germans during World War II. Life for these “Guests of the Third Reich” was difficult, often boring, and above all, uncertain. Kimberly Guise, Director of Curatorial Affairs and Senior Curator at The National WWII Museum, will explore aspects of the POW experience in Europe and show examples of the many ways American POWs coped with captivity.
