The exceptions to that rule are the stable coins like Tether and XRP, seen as a potential world circling payment gateway, with enough liquidity to handle anything thrown at it. Despite Tether snapping at the heels of Paypal in terms of volumes transacted, XRP has carved itself a niche as a bank assistant with proper regulatory oversight and licences.
