There is a great deal of research on Central Asian foreign relations but little on how that region relates to Southeast Asia. This seminar explores Central Asian engagement with Southeast Asia through the eyes of a diplomat. It is organized by the Eurasia Unit for Border Research and East Eurasian Studies @ SRC.

He is also an independent researcher with an interest in Russian foreign policy, particularly towards Asia, and the international relations of Eurasia and Central Asia, as well as a growing interest in intelligence studies. His many publications include “Central Asia and Southeast Asia: Exploring the Dynamics of Greater Engagement” (Palgrave Macmillan: 2022).
