The Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana (FHCCI) presents its 2022 Legal Seminar (Virtual), "Fair Housing & Disability Rights - What You Need To Know." The FHCCI is pleased to have fair housing attorney, Erin Kemple, as the presenter. The event is part of the FHCCI's work to spread information and awareness about fair housing laws. People with disabilities were protected under fair housing laws in 1988, yet, in Indiana and nationally, claims of housing discrimination by persons with disabilities are the most commonly filed allegation of the seven protected groups under the federal Fair Housing Act and the Indiana Fair Housing Act.
In this webinar, hear about significant fair housing litigation challenging discriminatory practices against people with disabilities across housing-based transactions. The guest speaker, Erin Kemple, is an attorney who for over 30 years has been working to ensure fair housing rights which has included cases involving people with disabilities.
